A fair look at what each one does well, checked against Linktree's own pages.

Linktree is the best-known link-in-bio page in the world, and it earned that place. It is simple to set up, it is free to start, and millions of creators use it to send their followers from one bio link to everything they do online. If you have an Instagram or TikTok account, you have almost certainly tapped a Linktree page.

POPINID started from a different place. It began as a digital business card: the thing you hand someone when you meet them at a conference, a client meeting, a cafe counter or a trade show. Everything else in POPINID, from the wallet card to the team page, grew out of that one moment when two people meet and want to stay in touch.

So the useful question is not which one is better. It is which one fits the way you work. This guide compares the two fairly and in detail, so you can decide for yourself. Everything said about Linktree here was checked against Linktree's own pricing page and help centre on 11 October 2026. Features change, so check their site before you decide.

Two different starting points

The clearest way to understand both products is to look at the problem each one was built to solve.

Linktree solves the bio problem. Social platforms allow one link in your profile, and creators have many things to point to: a new video, a shop, a podcast, a newsletter, a booking page. Linktree turns that single link into a page of links, and then adds tools to help creators grow an audience and earn from it.

POPINID solves the contact problem. When you meet someone, you want them to leave with your name, number, photo and links saved in their phone, not on a paper card that ends up in a drawer. POPINID turns your details into a card that opens from a link or a QR code and saves into a phone's contacts in one tap. Then it adds tools for the people and businesses that meet customers every day: companies with teams, consultants with clients, cafes and restaurants with regular guests, and shops with returning buyers.

Both products overlap in the middle, which is why people compare them. But the starting point shapes everything that follows, from the free plan to the paid features.

What both do well

Before looking at the differences, it is worth being clear about what you get from either one.

  • A page of links. Both give you one address that holds your social accounts, website, WhatsApp and anything else you want people to find.

  • A QR code. Both give you a QR code that opens your page, so nobody has to type an address. On POPINID the QR code can point to a short link that you can redirect later, so a code you have already printed never goes out of date.

  • A card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Linktree calls this its digital card. POPINID offers it on every card, including the free plan. You open it from your phone's lock screen and show the QR code, even with a weak signal.

  • Saving your contact. On Linktree, visitors can save your details once you add a Contact details app to your page. On POPINID, a Save Contact button is built into every card and puts your name, photo, phone number, email and links into the other person's phone in one tap.

  • Visit and click counts. Both show you how many people opened your page and which links they tapped.

  • A paid plan that removes the platform's branding. On Linktree this comes with Pro. On POPINID, Pro removes the "Powered by POPINID" line from your card.

Where Linktree is stronger

Linktree is built for creators who earn online, and its paid plans reflect that. They include selling digital products with 0% fees, mailing-list integrations, link rules and routing, all-time analytics with data export, social media scheduling and Instagram auto-replies. Larger teams and agencies can get team seats on Linktree's agency and enterprise plans.

If your audience lives on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, and you make money from digital products, courses or sponsorships, those tools are hard to beat. POPINID does not try to replace them, and for that kind of creator Linktree is a strong choice.

Where POPINID is different

POPINID is a business card first. It is used by professionals and businesses around the world, and it was built in the Gulf, where business still runs on meeting people, swapping numbers and following up on WhatsApp. That shapes what it does best.

Made for the moment you meet someone

The free plan already covers the handshake moment: a card at popin.id/yourname, a Save Contact button, a QR code and a wallet card. You can show the QR code from your phone, print it on your existing paper card or put it on a stand at your counter. If you change your job title, phone number or links later, every copy you have already shared updates on its own. Nothing needs reprinting.

Arabic and English, properly

The whole POPINID site works in English and in Arabic, written right to left. Your card can carry your name and details in Arabic, English or both, and visitors see the card's buttons and labels in their own language. For anyone who works with Arabic-speaking clients, or who wants a card that looks right in both languages, this matters more than any single feature.

Pro tools for people who meet a lot of people

  • Scan paper business cards. Point your phone's camera at a printed card you were handed, front only or front and back. The name, title, phone number and email go straight into your contacts.

  • A branded email signature built from your card, so every email you send links to it.

  • Your own background photo and any colour you like, with text that stays readable on all of them.

  • Longer analytics history. The free plan shows the last 7 days of visits and taps; Pro shows 30 days and all time.

  • Custom popon.id short links with names you choose, and your old link keeps working if you change your username.

  • No "Powered by POPINID" line on your card.

Prices in your own currency

POPINID is used worldwide, and you pay in the currency that makes sense where you are. Pro costs:

  • Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman: KWD 1.900 a month, or KWD 18.250 a year.

  • United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar: 23.95 a month or 229.95 a year, in AED, SAR or QAR.

  • Everywhere else in the world: US$ 6.95 a month, or US$ 66.95 a year.

Paying yearly saves 20% on every plan. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and in Kuwait also with KNET. Short usernames of 1 to 5 letters are sold separately on any plan and renew yearly; names of 6 letters or more are free.

For companies, cafes and shops: Business and Store

This is where POPINID moves furthest from a link-in-bio page. Two business plans are coming soon, built for organisations that deal with customers face to face.

Business is for companies of any size. It includes everything in Pro, plus:

  • Your team on your company card: up to 10 people, each with their own card, shown as photos under your company name.

  • Opening hours and branch locations on your card.

  • Visitor leads: people can leave their name and number for you to call back.

  • A Google review button, so happy customers reach your review page without searching for you.

  • Company branding across your team's cards and a team email signature.

Business costs KWD 4.900 a month in Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, 61.95 a month in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and US$ 17.95 a month elsewhere.

Store is for cafes, restaurants and shops. It includes everything in Business, plus:

  • Your menu or products on your card, with photos and prices.

  • Orders that arrive on your WhatsApp, with payment going straight to your own account.

  • Loyalty stamp cards that customers keep on their phone instead of on paper they lose.

  • Products synced every day from your Shopify or WooCommerce store.

Store costs KWD 29 a month in Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, 365.95 a month in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and US$ 105.95 a month elsewhere.

"Not listed" means the feature does not appear on Linktree's pricing page or help centre when we checked. It does not prove Linktree can never do it.

Which one should you choose?

  • Creators and influencers who sell online and grow an audience on social media: Linktree is built for you.

  • Consultants, freelancers and sales professionals who meet clients in person: POPINID, because Save Contact, the wallet card and the card scanner do the work a paper card used to do.

  • Companies that want every employee to share a consistent card: POPINID Business, with your team on one company card.

  • Cafes, restaurants and shops that serve walk-in customers: POPINID Store, with a menu, WhatsApp orders and loyalty stamps.

  • Anyone who works in Arabic and English: POPINID, because the whole site and your card work in both.

Many people keep both: Linktree in their Instagram bio, and POPINID on their printed card, email signature, conference badge and shop counter. The two do not compete for the same spot.

Moving from Linktree takes one step

  1. Create your free POPINID card and choose your username.

  2. In your dashboard, paste your Linktree name or link. Your links are copied to your POPINID card in one step.

  3. Add your photo, title and contact details, then add your card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Your Linktree page keeps working while you decide, so there is no risk in trying. Create your free card and see how it feels the next time you meet someone.
