The POPINID Starter Guide — Your Card, Your Links, Your QR, Your Signature

If you're reading this, you've found POPINID before most of the world has. Thank you for being here. This is a quick tour of what POPINID does today, where we're heading next, and why creating your card right now puts you in a good position for what's coming.
What POPINID is
POPINID is a digital business card — one personal link that holds everything someone needs to know about you, in any context.
Instead of handing out paper business cards that get thrown away, instead of pasting six different social links in every email, instead of explaining what you do every time you meet someone new — you share one short URL. Or one QR code. Or one tap of a phone. Whatever's easiest in the moment.
Your POPINID card lives at popin.id/<your-username> and travels with you anywhere you go.
What you can do today
Everything below is live right now and free for everyone.
Your personal card. Claim your username, add your photo, write your bio, and link to whatever matters — LinkedIn, Instagram, your website, your WhatsApp, your portfolio, your email. Drag-and-drop reorder. Show or hide links per moment.
Built-in QR code. Every card generates its own QR code automatically. Print it on a printed business card, stick it on your laptop, drop it in a deck, scan it at events. One QR opens your whole card.
URL shortener. Long links look ugly in messages and bios. POPINID lets you shorten any URL through your account and track how many times it's been clicked. Use it for product launches, campaign links, or just a cleaner Instagram bio.
Email signature builder. Generate a professional email signature that pulls from your POPINID card — name, role, profile link, social icons, QR code. Paste it into Gmail, Outlook, or any client in one click. When you update your card, your signature updates with it.
Featured Profiles. Discover what other people in the POPINID community are doing. The Featured section on the homepage spotlights creators, founders, and professionals worth knowing — a way to network through the platform itself.
Founding Members. If you join early, you're a Founding Member. That badge stays on your card forever and unlocks perks as we add them — including extended free access to features that won't be free for everyone later.
Pro Grants. A separate program for community leaders, educators, and people doing meaningful public work who need the Pro tier but shouldn't have to pay for it. Apply through your dashboard if you fit the criteria.
What's coming next
We're building POPINID in public. Here's what's already on the roadmap:
Arabic localization. The full POPINID experience in Arabic — interface, card templates, RTL layout. Built for the GCC and the broader Arabic-speaking world. This is the next major milestone.
Analytics dashboard. See exactly who's viewing your card, which links they click, where they're coming from (Google, social referrals, direct, or QR scans), and how your reach grows over time. Coming as part of the Pro tier rollout.
Public REST API. Developers will be able to integrate POPINID cards into their own apps — pulling card data, embedding cards, automating card creation for teams. This unlocks partnerships with other tools you already use.
AlooChat integration. A partnership in the works with AlooChat — bringing your POPINID card directly into one of the region's growing communication platforms. More on this when it's live.
Pro tier. A paid plan with advanced features — premium analytics, custom domains, team cards, white-label options. Free will always stay free for what it covers today; Pro adds depth, not paywalls.
Why join now
Three honest reasons:
1. Your username, while it's available. POPINID usernames are unique and first-come. The good ones are going fast. If your name, brand, or handle is still free, it won't be forever.
2. Founding Member status is permanent. Whatever perks we add for early supporters — extended free features, early API access, community recognition — Founding Members keep them. This window closes when we hit our launch threshold.
3. The platform improves around your card. Everything we build from here on (Arabic, analytics, API, integrations) ships on top of your existing card. You don't have to redo anything. You just get more.
