What's new in POPINID

Every shipped feature, every fix, every improvement. Built in the open.

  1. v2.11

    • Feature — Blog launched. The POPINID Blog is now live at /blog with editorial posts about networking, GCC business culture, and digital business cards. RSS feed, category filters, and a regular publishing cadence.

    • Feature — Direct publish for admins. Master admins can now publish posts directly without going through the review queue.

    • Feature — Archive and delete posts. Posts can be archived from the admin editor — reversible, hides the post from listings, and redirects the URL to /blog. Master admins can also permanently delete posts.

    • Feature — Smart slug field. Post URLs now auto-generate from the title, with live availability checks against existing posts and profiles. Slugs lock after publish to keep indexed URLs stable.

    • Feature — FAQ section on blog posts. Each post now supports a structured FAQ that renders as expandable cards below the article and emits FAQ schema for Google rich search results.

    • Feature — Updated-on indicator. Blog posts edited more than 24 hours after publish now show an "Updated" date on the byline. Search engines see the change date too.

    • Feature — Category gradient placeholders. Posts without a hero image now show a category-tinted gradient card with an icon instead of a blank space.

    • Feature — View live shortcut. Admins editing a published post can jump straight to the live URL in one click.

    • Improvement — Rich-text paste in the blog editor. Pasting formatted HTML into the post editor now renders properly as headings, bold, links, and lists.

    • Improvement — Missing post URLs redirect to /blog. Any archived, deleted, or never-existed blog URL now redirects to the blog index instead of returning a 404.

    • Improvement — Cleaner blog post links. Hand-edited slug control keeps every blog URL short and readable.

    • Fix — Post #1 slug correction. The first published blog post had its URL corrected to a short clean slug.
